MaxFactor Creme Puff blush is a relatively new addition to the MaxFactor family and is currently available exclusively to Clicks. I saw on a few blogs that the “Nude Mauve” shade is an exact dupe in both texture and shade to Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Mood Exposure. This is phenomenal news as a) Hourglass is not available in SA and b) the Ambient Lighting blush retails for around $58 which is +/-R870.
Texture: The MaxFactor Creme Puff blush is a very finely milled powder and blends like a dream! If you look at it closely it does have champagne/gold fine photoluminescent particles in the formula, but it doesn’t show as glitter on your cheeks. The purpose of these particles is to give you a luminous glow instead of the blush looking “flat”, which is often the case with most blush formulas.
Finish: The formula of the MaxFactor Creme Puff blush is light weight and when applied leaves you with a soft-focus, seamless finish. I will admit that I have a slight fear of blush as it always feels like mine is not blended enough and has visible lines. With the MaxFactor Creme Puff blush you almost cannot overdo it. Even if you have a heavy hand it will only leave you with a subtle flush of color.
Shades: The MaxFactor Creme Puff blush is available in 4-shades and there is a shade that will suit any skin tone perfectly. I purchased the MaxFactor Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve which is a rosy, dusty pink shade. I have literally used in on a daily basis since (I haven’t touched my NARS blush in weeks!).
Will I buy this product again? This is officially my new favorite blush and I will definitely, definitely repurchase. I suggest you go and check it out at Clicks if you are in the market for a new blush (and a phenomenal budget one too!).
