It’s time for another empties post! Let’s have a look at the products I’ve finished in the last month and whether I will purchase these items again.
DermaFix DermaPolish Enzymatic Exfoliator
I think you are all pretty tired of me raving about the DermaFix DermaPolish Enzymatic Exfoliator. It is just so good! I have written a full review here if you are interested in all the details. What I can say is that it is still my number one exfoliator and I have several backups in my cupboard. This product works tremendously well, exactly on par with a significantly more expensive enzymatic exfoliator (and less than half price for the same amount of product). I really like that it is so affordable for a generous-sized product that will last you for months, not to mention how gentle yet so incredibly effective it is on the skin. I am literally this product’s biggest fan and I will continue to purchase it.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer
Man, it took me nearly a year and a half to finish this bottle! It just shows you what incredible value for money it is. I loved this moisturizer! It is light-weight, fragrance-free and very effective in terms of hydrating the skin. As it doesn’t really have any anti-aging benefits I seldomly use it on its own, but often combine it with my serums just to provide the extra moisture that I need. Due to it being so light-weight it really is perfect for the warmer months as it is rapidly absorbed by the skin and it wears so well underneath makeup. I am pretty set now on my Neostrata skincare routine, but if I wasn’t using that range I would have repurchased this product without even thinking about it. It is so affordable and will last you a ridiculously long time.
Neostrata Eye Cream 4PHA
I have written about this lovely eye cream in my updated skincare routine post. If you missed the post you can catch up here. I absolutely love this eye cream and already repurchased it. I think it is excellent value for money and provides anti-aging benefits without irritating the skin. I can highly recommend this product.
Neostrata Spot Treatment Gel
Aren’t we all looking for that miracle potion that will make any blemish disappear in an instant? I can assure you I have tried almost everything: from patches to toothpaste to very strong creams. None seem to work as well as the Neostrata Spot Treatment Gel. The Neostrata Spot Treatment Gel is a highly effective formula that uses alpha hydroxy acids, salicylic acids and vitamin A to reduce inflammation, remove impurities and clear up skin imperfections and blemished areas. I have to issue a warning here that although it is incredibly effective, even with those painful blind pimples, it is a strong product and makes your skin peel within in day or two. It is therefor important to limit use to the blemished areas only. In my experience it burns a little bit if you apply it to broken skin, so just be careful. I would definitely have repurchased this product, but as a beauty blogger I am constantly trying new products and for now I am going to take Neostrata’s sister company, Exuviance, version for a test run. I will keep you updated on how the Exuviance Blemish Treatment Gel compares as it has basically exactly the same ingredients as Neostrata’s.
Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Hydrator
I wrote a full review not long ago on how awesome this moisturiser is. If you missed the post then you can click here. What I can say is that this moisturiser is simply amazing at providing intense hydration and I never go on any long-haul flights without slapping a thick layer of this on my skin. I can highly recommend this product for very dry skin and I will definitely repurchase.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant product! I think it is relatively common knowledge that this is my favourite micellar water and makeup remover. It is so effective in removing all traces of makeup, it is gentle on the skin and I don’t think there is a more affordable micellar water available on the market. 400ml is an extremely generous amount of product and one bottle will literally last you for months! I have previously used Bioderma’s significantly more expensive micellar water, but to be honest, I cannot find any difference between the two products and thus opt for the less expensive of the two options. If you would like more information, then you can have a look at the full review here.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel
I wrote a full review on this products a few months ago. I have a strong preference for gel washes and since I absolutely loved Garnier’s micellar waters, this was naturally something I wanted to try. I liked it at the time, purely for its incredible ability to remove makeup. As it doesn’t really foam up well and made my eyes burn like fire I don’t think I will purchase this product again. If you want to read the full review then you can click here.
Lush Bubbly Showergel
If I remember correctly the Lush Bubbly Showergel is part of their Christmas editions and sadly I only bought one unit. I loved it with all my heart. It has a zingy, fresh citrus fragrance that instantly invigorates your senses and makes you feel happy. Luckily for me the Christmas collections just rolled out to our stores and I will make sure to properly stock up on Bubbly and Rose Jam this time around!
Joico Smooth Cure Thermal Styling Protectant
I wrote a review on this magic product last year that you can catch here if you missed it. I absolutely love it! It smells divine and leaves my hair so soft and shiny. This is a staple in my everyday haircare routine and I always spritz it on my hair before blowdrying. I have already repurchased this product.
Essence Longlasting Lipliners
This is the only makeup product for this empties post! As a beauty blogger we are testing so many new makeup products that it takes a really long time to actually finish a product. I did however really enjoyed these lipliners from Essence and although they are not finished per sé, they have dried out to the point of no longer being useable. I really enjoyed ‘Lovely Frappuchino’ and used it so often, will definitely repurchase. I wrote a full review on these lipliners that you can read here.
