Let me start off by saying that Benefit The Porefessional is by far the best primer I have used to date. I was skeptical to purchase this much-hyped-about product, as most primers don’t really do that much for me in terms of hiding pores and prolong the wear of my foundation, but I am sure glad that I did! Let’s have a look at the review.
Benefit The Porefessional Pro Balm
Formula: Benefit The Porefessional has a silky testure that is easily spread onto the skin. I am pretty sure it contains a house full of silicone to create a surface that smooth and I will admit that I see minor bumps and blemishes when I wear it for too many consecutive days (More than 3 consecutive days, but bear in mind that my skin is particularly ridiculous).
What did I think? Benefit The Porefessional really impressed me with how silky smooth it makes your skin. Pore-and fine line visibility are significantly reduced, which is often promised and then not delivered by primers.
Wear: I get very good wear out of my foundation when wearing this primer, but wouldn’t say it makes a remarkable difference to how long my foundation lasts. To be honest, I am more impressed by the pore-reduction than by the ability to extend the wear of your foundation. I have not experienced exacerbated oiliness in my T-zone when using the Benefit The Porefessional primer.
Price: I really like that you can buy the Benefit The Porefessional in a mini-size before committing to the full size. The 7,5 ml mini-size sells for R165 and full size retails for R445. Available at selected Red Square and Edgars stores as well as Red Square’s online store. You can click here to order it online.
Will I buy this product again? Yes, this is the only primer I have used to date that actually make a visible difference to how my pores present when wearing foundation. Despite the minor breakouts I experience when worn too often, I wear it as often as I can and I absolutely love it! I have read a few not-so-happy reviews about the Benefit The Porefessional and I think we need to keep in mind that there is probably not really one primer that will suit all skin types.
