I cannot believe this is the last post for brow week! This week I’ve reviewed three exciting brow pomades: the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade, NYX Tame And Frame Brow Pomade and Benefit’s Ka-Brow! Today’s review will focus on the last of the three brow products, the Benefit Ka-Brow! Monday the spotlight was on my holy-grail brow product Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow and Wednesday we shone the spotlight on NYX Tame and Frame brow pomade. If you missed any of the reviews you can click here and here. I hope you guys enjoyed these reviews as much as I enjoyed writing them and if you have any other suggestions for brow products please be so kind to leave a comment below. Have a happy Friday and awesome weekend! xx
Benefit Ka-Brow! Eyebrow Gel-Cream Color
Packaging: There is no doubt that the packaging of the Benefit Ka-Brow! is bold and super cute at the same time. It reminds me of the Eiffel Tower and I think a lot of creativity went into it. In the elongated cap there is a little angled brush included which can be handy. That being said, I don’t often use the complimentary brush as it is a bit too small and uncomfortable for me to handle. As adorable as the packaging is, I find it to be a bit bulky for traveling purposes as it takes up a lot more space and if it gets stuck upright in a shallow drawer you have problems (happened numerous times to me!)
Formula: I find the ‘gel-cream’ description a bit confusing as I personally experience the product to have a more waxy texture than a cream or gel texture. This brow pomade is by far the waxiest of the three products I tried this week, although not necessarily a problem. I normally like waxier products as the finish is often less bold and more natural.
Pigmentation: The Benefit Ka-Brow! Eyebrow Gel-Cream is very well pigmented although ‘softer’ than the other two products I reviewed this week.
Application: Both the ABH Dipbrow and NYX Tame and Frame brow pomades are ultra creamy and thus very easy to apply (and also make a mess of course!). I find that the waxier formula of the Benefit Ka-Brow! makes it ever so slightly more difficult to work with, especially if you want those sharp, precise, sculpted brows.
Wear: The Benefit Ka-Brow! has a waterproof formula which is great! It sets within seconds, lasts really well during the day and is easy to remove with ordinary makeup remover. The product has a very natural, soft finish which I really like.
Shades: There are six shades available in the range. Most of the shades do not have a red undertone which is really great considering it is a bit of a ‘problem’ with both the ABH Dipbrow and NYX pomades. I purchased the shade 03 Medium and I find it to be an excellent match for my skintone and hair.
Price: R335/€27. You can click here to view the shades and order it online from Red Square.
What did I think? I really liked the Benefit Ka-Brow! pomade. I find it easy to work and it wears so well during the day. Seeing that I prefer a more natural-looking brow I reach for this product most of the time when I am in a hurry and just want to shape and fill in sparse areas in my eyebrows. Although I did not get the same WOW-experience as with the ABH dipbrow pomade, I think I use this pomade more often purely for the more natural look.
Will I buy this product again? Yes, I will actually buy this pomade again for the convenience of use and I really like the finish.
